Love my Xe Run with the 8.5. Running 528 program on the speedo and the new 1.72 on the box. Lots of boost and timming motor runs cooler with plenty of bottom and top.

Man, where is everybody? Jason, missed you this weekend. My 6.5 in the B44 ran hot this weekend. Geared 1 tooth down on pinion, still hot. Ran well, just about 15 deg above normal. Need to take motor apart and clean and inspect. I put a SP GT 2.0 LPF and Trinity Nemesis 17.5 in my B4 yesterday, got tired of waiting for the HW to get back in stock. Running 422 software right now, have not tried the 528. It's cool, you can program it with the HW box. Can't believe how fast it is. Looking forward to hitting the track with it next race. JWG191, did you notice any advantage going to the 528? I have the timing advanced all the way and no punch delay. Ran it hard for about 8 minutes in the street yesterday, temped right at 150. Can live with that, but it was only in the low 80's outside. We'll be in the mid 90's or better in a couple months, wondering if the 528 software runs cooler?

Anyone had a exprience running 17.5 shortcourse boost ?

I have downloaded the new software and played around with it for a bit yeaterday. First thing I noticed was cooler temps with better torque.

Hey Chris, i volunteered to help a friend of mine move from his appartment so I wasnt able to show up. I have since dropped to a 13.5T leopard motor ,since it was so cheap, and am liking it. I went up 2 teeth on the pinion and bumped the boost up. Ill be there next race day to lay down the law! yeah right Was there a showing of 2wd buggys saturday?

Just saw this. Not a big showing, ran the 2wd SC and buggies together for a bigger class. This past weekend (April 9) was bigger, but I couldn't make it. Class is growing, esp. with the new Losi being out.

i've had my xerun 120a for a year now.. great esc.. currently i am running it with a 550 motor in my Losi SCTE... one question, i just noticed in the manual under TIMING, it said timing is for ONLY sensorless motors.. is this true?? don't recall it saying that before, is this something new??

That is NOT accurate. I had a version of the manual that said the same thing, and I emailed HW about it. Timing advanced works for both sensored and sensorless.

Unless I read the question wrong I thought the LCD card gave you the option to connect to a PC for settings and firmware updates.

yes, that is correct. i knew about the firmware updates, but i'm not familiar with the additional PC settings. i know for a sensored esc there are boost functions, but are there any additional PC settings for an unsensored esc (like throttle curve)?

No additional settings for the EZRun series that I have found, but you can adjust some of the current settings in smaller increments, or set the cut-off voltage at a custom number rather than the preset values.

excellent. thank you. that's what i was looking for. doesn't sound like it would be worth it unless you had a sensored esc and wanted to ramp...

Run a quick search, there's a thread in Offroad for guys that are running the 1/8 speedo. Might find some additional info there.

Where are you guys getting these firmware and software files? Are they on hobbywing's website?

I've been using a 120A for a year and it works great. I think I should update it, but it works so reliably I'm afraid to mess with it.

I'd also love to know what might be recommended settings for 4x4 Short Course with both a castle 1410 3800kv and a 550 size Novak 4.5.
