For MY area...

The 2200 probably. I have large outdoor tracks with lots of speed involved for the most part. If anything, I could dial it down a bit.

The 1700kv is good, but I'd personally prefer the 2200. The ideal motor of is to meet in between both of yours, and get a 1900kv. Best of both worlds.

If you use the inner pinion support motor plate you can fit a much larger pinion. I'm running a 21T with my Grid mount with room for a larger pinion, if I wanted it.

It's definitely worth the price.

I've heard great things about the 7955 as well. A friend has the XP1015 and has said great things about it as well.

As for motors and ESCs, I had a MMM with a Neu 1800kV motor and recently changed to a Tekin with a 2050kV motor. The Tekin is smoother for sure. The MMM is a great combo as well, but I really like the smoothness of the Tekin.

It's a good mount too, as long he has it in stock. I waited a few weeks, but he never had it. Doesn't do many of us any good when it's not in stock. Just looked and they're out of stock again! At least the site says he'll have them back in stock shortly.

Eh, the Grid is $75 shipped, and so is the Elite. Not like one is significantly cheaper. I'm sure both are quality products.

The Grid includes a new diff top plate too.

question about shock towers, center diff plate, and steering rod:

blue aluminum or carbon fiber?

I would think carbon fiber because of weight and rigidity. what do you guys think?

thanks
