Default Tekin RS/17.5 problems

Ok, long story short, I ran my truck (SC10) 2 or 3 times with the new Tekin system. After that, it was put up for about 3 months (Baby and other things). I got it out this weekend to race. Since it was a new track, I wanted to change the settings in the software. While I was there, I noticed a new update for the ESC (212). I updated it, set it up for a trial and it ran great. Went to run a 2nd practice (no changes were made to the software) and I lost brakes.

After messing around with it, I have great brakes (too much) at 100%. If I drop it to 85 or 90, I have nothing. I ended up setting it at 100% and just turning it down in my radio.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Setup:
AE SC10
Tekin RS/17.5
Futaba 4PKS
Motor timing is at 10 degrees
Boost at 45 5443/20000

I also tried this in sensored and sensorless mode.

Thanks for any help guys.

No one has had this problem?

I guess I will just reset everything and start over on a new model and all.

You might want to try playing with the brake min. feature in v212; it might help. If you've already tried recalibrating the speed control to the radio and it didn't work, you might want to try reinstalling the software and going from there.

I reset everything again last night but I wont know for sure till I get to the track again. I don't run my trucks outside here.

That is something I have not figured out.....the brake and throttle min. I just left it alone because I have no idea what its for.

Thank you for the help.

Just to clarify too, a minimum setting of 0 is equivalent to the braking and throttle input from 208, so if you liked that then I'd start there. I'm pretty sure the higher the number you set it to, the more trigger you have to pull for brakes or something like that...someone correct me if I'm wrong here.
Hope that helps.

Thank you sir, so we think that going from 0 to say 10 on the braking and throttle min will slow down the reaction on the trigger correct?

Thank you for your help Brandon.

Fordplay, Others are also discussing on the Tekin ESC thread, with several recommendations from Rady Pike. Hope this assists you as well.

Some fellow racers and I have noticed braking issues with v212 in different vehicles, motors, and batteries I'm going back to v208 to get my brakes back.

the brakes were unchanged from 208 to 212 other than the addition to the min brake setting.

What radio system are you using?

I have a 4PK, another racer has a DX3S, and another has a 3PK.

I have the 4PKS Randy.

Also, is Brandon correct on how the min Brake and throttle work? I have searched some but did not find much on it.

You have to have v208 in your computer to do the switch.

Well, I went back and just reset everything (recalibrated). Worked perfect. Put probably about 1 1/2 hours on it today just because it was hooked up.
