Default SC10 front end slop fix

I have only had my FT SC10 for a few weeks now. I noticed there is an obscene amount of slop in the front end, and I was told by everyone that this is normal. I have tried to adjust everything with little to no results.

one of the obvious sources f slop are the front wheel nuts. when tightened all the way, the wheel still has play. I put the wheel on, took an O-ring about the size of a shock O-ring and slid it onto the spindle. then I put the wheel nut on and snugged it just enough so there was no more play, but did not bind the bearings at all. I took 1/2 the slop out of the front end and the wheels spin freely with no binding.

i may get shot of this, but a bit of slop makes the car better drive-able, everyting with no slop is not easy to drive

I did little mods like this to a RTR b4 i had. Talk about a twitchy car!

I can see taking slop out of the wheels/bearings, but i wouldnt advise making the whole car too tight.

A tight build also seems to make for some more breakage from what ive noticed in the past.

I've used brush motor washers to do this for years! :-)

Shoe Goo the e-clips into place on the front axles, as they develop a bit of side play.

Shock o-ring on a ball stub before you put the ball cup on will take some slop out.

I'm afraid that if I thighten up the steering slop and put some real front treads on, I'll 180 all over the place.

I shimmed them with some plastic washers and the slop is acceptable now. What size are these front axle nuts? 2mm?

Actually, I think the front wheel nuts are 5/40, not 4/40.
