Best 17.5 for spec short course?
Our local track has a spec sc class which is a 17.5 motor no timing or boost and a 25c or less battery, what would be the best motor for this application?

Novak Ballistic 1300+ 17.5 Stock Spec motor.
The 1300+ motor comes with ceramic bearings and a ROAR approved for stock class tuned rotor with more magnetizm than typical motors. I am running this motor in both stock and Open classes and doing well. The motor runs higher RPMs and has less heat than my old SS PRO 17.5. These motors are available on the Buy Novak site for sure. I have not seen them on many other online stores lists.

Honestly pretty much any of the good 17.5 motors will work for you. I ran the Ballistic 17.5, the new Viper 17.5, and the DUO 17.5's and all work great. I run the Viper 17.5 and the Full Throttle Motorsports DUO 17.5 right now.

Murfdogg Synergy Motors
All top brand 17.5 motors are fantastic quality. I would recommend a 17.5T Murfdogg Synergy Motor, as it provides supurb power, especially in a non-boosted application. I personally tried many of the top brand Motors/ESC's at the begining of the season and chose Murfdogg after experiencing the noticable performance gains over others. I recommend visiting www.murfdogg.com and reading true user feedback on RCTech Murfdogg forum thread. Wish you the best in your selection and racing experiences with your SCT!
