By the looks of things, I think I may have overpaid. It was $50 in the original box. There's a painted body, some charging cables, the three aformentioned batteries, and the vehicle itself. It appears to be in ok shape, as no parts are falling off. Most of the parts appear original (still have "Team Associated" markings), but the bottom of the gold pan is scratched up pretty nicely. In hindsight, I probably would've passed it up, but hopefully I can sell it to someone who will appreciate it for close to my cost.

And thanks again to everyone for their input. Really, it's easy to see how this community still thrives. I wasn't expecting an answer anytime soon, let alone a bunch of replies within a few hours. I'll continue to keep an eye out for something a bit more current that I can tinker around with.

$50 isn't too bad, the usually start at that price and go to about $110ish for a common stock rc10.

If it's all scratched up and not some rare rc10, you might want to try it out for some running. Unless you're going to have to do work to get it running, in which case I'd ditch it before you start upgrading in which case you won't stop until it's all done up.

Here is an image of the box:

I can't post URL's, otherwise I would just embed the image. Replace the DOT with .

That's very old school. Check on the back of the chassis under the transmission if you see a letter stamped.

just curious, but what does the stamp tell you? I checked out mine and it has an "A" stamped on it..

They had different stamps for different chassis along the years.

This thread should help you identify which specific model you have. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=13059

thanks! I actually just finished reading that before you posted, so I determined I have a early to mid production erdinger version, based on the car, documents, and the box printing. The only crappy thing is everyone used to dye their nylon back then, and my uncle died it all orange, and the wheels black.. wish he had just left it.
