Questions?? SC10 Foam Tires?

Does anyone know where to get foam tires for the SC10 without need to change anything on the vehicle?

Anything helps,
Thanks.

No, epic does not make a mounted foam tire for the sc10. It will require the replacement of some of the front end parts including the front axels. Hexes will be needed for the rear.

I've been looking for and working on this process since November. It's gonna end up being a hpi/kyosho crossover.

yeah, it seems like Epic is thinking about it, but hasn't come though. Out of stock, or pre-order everywhere.

So, can we buy blank foams, and glue em up to SC10 rims?

Maybe you're right....I went to their site and no luck, but I swear I remember seeing an ad in an RC magazine with such a thing pictured/mentioned. Good luck either way. We have an indoor offroad/carpet track and I figured they'd be the ticket.

Thanks lowroad!

Mark, they are in the Short Course special issue of RC Driver. I was just looking at that article thismorning. I provides the part number for them but is un-existant on the site.

The problem I've found in my search, which again is farther along than yours, is......
Donuts will have to be custom made,
sc10 tires have a "bead". Inner and "ribs" outer
even with a skinner tire and the outer ribs removed you will still need a tire truer, as the glueing on process will not be even
a tire truer (standard) will work on the smaller diameter wheels and tires (buggy/truggy/oval/tc)
so your looking for a custom made donut, glued on to a modified wheel, in need of a tire truer that doesn't exist.

So.....for the last time, your gonna have to do a conversion....

I'd rather not race, or buy a diff truck just for carpet than do a conversion.

the outdoor track closes around nov-march. This was going to tide me over. You would THINK we'd be racing year round at any one of dozens of tracks, but no. One outdoor, one indoor. That's it.
