MBX6 ECO Thread
Any news on when the MBX6 ECO is coming out? Been running the MBX6 and I can't wait to get my hands on the electric version.
Til then, will just content myself with the brushless conversion kits for the MBX6.

I don't know, but it seems that a Tekno V4 will outperform the mbx6 eco. The cog is lower and very close to the center.
However, getting the eco is cheaper than the nitro kit + tekno kit.

LOVE the avatar, Morgoth!
Yes the end of January is what Mugen is telling me, I think people will be suprised by the eco-6, simplicity in design is one of Mugen's hallmarks, and I think people will LOVE this buggy

I'd love to have that T-shirt but I can't buy it because there's no shipping to Europe
I've seen ppl that go very fast with stock conversions like the mbx6 eco, Losi E, rcm kits. But I think the V4 is a little bit more planted. It's just so narrow compared to other E cars and the balance is amazing.

a-main has had it as pre-order since about November, but as of their email to me last week they still are unsure when they'll take delivery.
Oh well, until then I"ll have to content myself with my conversion of the 6,

Maybe not. The Tekno V4 kit (which I have) is heavy, and the chassis is so thick it doesn't have much flex. Sure the weight is more centered but I think the Mugen ECO will be slightly better. I have the RC Monster conversion for the MBX6 and it drove great with the stock chassis, it looks nearly identical to the ECO. Also the ECO is 5mm longer like the Tekno.

The Tekno V4 is also very lightweight. It weights less then my mates RCM.
The flex is good, because you have no rear brace. It's flexes as much as the stock chasis with braces.
The Tekno V4 is also 5mm longer, just like the mbx6 eco
If you ditch the reciever box and mod the sideguards a bit you can save more weight. The motormount weight as much as the RCM mount. The esc tray and battery tray weight less than the RCM. The chasis is prolly slighty heavier, but since you ditch the rear chasis brace, you win that lost weight back.
I'll put the stock mugen chasis on a scale when I'm home.
