That's a good point. The MP9 conversion kit is designed to fit both the MP9 and STRR. I'd be interested to see if Mugen's e-version for the MBX6 can also fit the truggy version (without mod).

hi there

if you take a look at the mbx6 eco chassis plate, you will see that he got his own chassis. not a nitro chassis. the only thing, that will be ging fit, is the motormountan maybe the servomount, but i didnīt think so.
for the battery mount you will drill some holes.

battery holder: i would going for me with the xray 808e battery holder. i love the design of this holder from xray

I need help deciding on which way to go. Should I wait for the MBX6 Eco or should I get MBX6 and Techno V4 conversion. Leaving cost out of it what would be the advantages/disadvantages.

I'd get the V4. It's as long as the stock eco chasis. It should weight the same but the COG is lower and it's narrower which makes the car more nimble

I have not had the mbx6 Eco in front of me. But, I have seen the Tekno and the chassis seems very wide. The mugen chassis looks very narrow. In my opinion the Mugen would have the weight more centralized due to how much more narrow it is. I have picked up a Tekno setup and it was very heavy. We'll see what the weight of the mbx6 Eco will weigh.

@Ben I have the stock chasis and the Tekno V4. The Tekno V4 is narrower. I think you are thinking about the Tekno V3? The V4 is released a month ago. And if you mean the chasis (the alu plate is wider), yes it wider, but that because the battery tray doesn't need any offset anymore to keep it above the sideguards. This lowers the COG

There's only 1.9mm between the motor and battery pack. Just enough for the long drive shaft. Look how narrow this is:

And here's a photo on the scale with a 4S 5000mah pack (570g) No lightweightparts and alu hubs

Got mine today. I love the body. Came with a spare spur gear and 14t pinion.

The new MBX6 ECO sure looks sweet
As I just converted a new M-Spec with Tekno V4, I am really curious how these two Mugens compare on the track...
Hopefully we will get reports of comparisons in the next few months

This is one with my old body, I have a Punisher but I still need to paint it. I have my last exam tomorrow and I have vacation next week so I'll paint it by then.

Could you do me a favor and weight the plastic spur gear? I might use the new spur on my Tekno conversion to get a lighter drive train.

I've got one on order and can't wait to get it! Really diggin the new body and design. Can't wait for the quiet spur/pinion gear combo. Hopefully there aren't too many problems with the plastic spur stripping/grinding. I've got a few spurs in my box just in case. Also, wondering how the aluminum shock towers will compare in handling vs. the carbon fiber. So many questions, and no car in my hand with answers....Come on February!

My current scale doesn't go that high, but the spur is 12g and has a metal insert molded into it for the bearing. It also comes with the long plastic chassis brace in the spares bag.
