I'd recommend a Murfdogg Synergy Motor, if your serious about power/racing. There are a few top brand motors that are great quality. If you have an opportunity I'd research the ones your considering and check them out online. The Murfdogg Synergy Motors deliver smooth superb power in either Non-boosted or Boosted applications. Please visit www.murfdogg.com or read their RCTech thread to read true user feedback. The owner, Matt Murphy, stands behind the motors and delivers excellent customer service.

Rangerjkb I can promise you that no one in our area will be running a murfdogg motor unitl the 5 we have already purchased are fixed. I was told that we must have recieved a "bad run" of sensor boards and we are waiting for the tested ones to show up.

Wow, I'm surprised and am sure Matt will take care of those quickly. I've been running these for quite some time and their performance/durability is outstanding. I tried many of the top brand ESC's and Motors at the begining of this winter season. I used the manufacturers setups with tech support to maximize each's performance. After much testing/comparison I chose Murfdogg Motors and the Tekin RS Pro ESC and have had great success. I agree with you, that when you have a bad experience with a product, it's difficult to continue supporting (another top ESC/Motor company has had some difficulties recently as well). Hope all works out quickly and the guys that purchased these motors with bad sensor boards are taken care of soon with the utmost satisfaction.

I hope everything turns out well also, The one motor we have that did work is fast and all the other ones were fast for the two laps they worked.

I recommend a Murfdogg as well. Sucks to hear you have had a problem. But everyone I have seen are running awesome and is the best motor I have ever had.

Out of all the motors I have ran, the Viper VST motors seem to have the most torque. I came from a Murfdogg which had better top end, bit the Viper just has some major rear end!

With that added torque, I can gear up a tooth or two to make up for it

The murfdogg I had was a dog...Must have got a bad one. oh well... My old novak 17.5 was faster. Duo based motors (1,2 or 3) seems to be the best in my experience..
