2wd slash, LRP spx super reverse esc and x11 modified motor, 6cell nimh and 3s lipo

1. it appears you can't buy bearings for the LRP x11 motors anymore, what size are they and i'll order from avid?? I believe they are 3mmx8mm but not positive?

2. which rotor is better suited for this motor 12.5 or 14mm?

3. how much timing?

4 what gearing would be a good all around with 86t spur? (speed, runtime, acceleration)


I am extremely new to RC's but learning alot! thanks for any help you might be able to give!

Slash runs good on just about any setup w/86 spur. The main thing I would watch is the heat temps. 18/86 is good and 16/90 is good too. If you use your 3s it's going to be a handful coming off turns; think about investing in tires too. I don't know anything about LRP but I'm running Traxxas VXL (3500) and Castle Mamba 4600; both w/2s 5250 Lipos. My VXL is running 21/86 and my Mamba runs 14-16/90.

yeah its a handful with the 3s... but seems underpowered with A 2s or 6 cell... Im not sure what size pinion is in there, but I have a 25t I thought I might try out......

what tires are decent for a bash rig? something that will bite pretty good, but will hold up to on-road fun as well?
