looking to convert my losi 8ight to brushless power. what system do you guys like the best? castle, tekin, novak

i have a novak system in my sc and i like being able to program it trackside without a pc.

You can run a 2 cell and three cell together, but must be same brand, same cell specs, and same usage. Tekin has really nice stems, and the best motors IMO. Theya re also sensored which is nice. i personally run a Castle MMM ESC for durabilty and the Tekin 1900kv motor

thanks for the reply...was just wondering about the batteries. was trying to save some cash by using what i had. i havent researched these systems yet other than posting this question. i will do some research. i have realized that novak doesnt have an 8th scale system. i also went with them bc the motors were rebuildable.

You can series a 3s and 2s battery, not parallel.

I use the Tekin Rx8 and 2050 or 1900 in my buggies on a 4s1p 4500mah hardcase.

Default castle

i run a castle combo MMM/2650kv, 5000mah 4s.. I messed around with the settings, got it to run nice and smooth on the bottom end- great powerband, and insane on the top yes its a bit overkill but I bash and race.. castle gives you good options on the castle link

I would suggest going ower kv on the motor. Runs much more efficient.

TEKIN!TEKIN!TEKIN! Hands down! Rx8 with a 1700 motor. I run the 1900 and its a LITTLT too much, but def usable! It rocks I love it! Its WAY SMOOTHER than the castle. Stormer hobbies has the full Tekin set up for 284.00 delivered to your door.

ok tekin is sensored so does it shut it down before it over heats? does the castle shut down on its own(sensorless, right) or does it just quit right before it goes up in flames. i dont really like tekins or castles site for educating potential customers.

thanks
