Default RC8T converted to brushless, what motor/controller

So I am looking at possibly getting a RC8T and the electric conversion kit. What motor and esc would be good? Maybe a Neu motor? Also how many cells? Probably won't race it, just as something to mess around with.

Thanks!

Tekin system, 2000 truggy motor if you shop on the forum you can get them pretty cheap. And 4s battery.

Look in my sig. MMM/1800. Castle has the sale for the 1518 1800kv motor for 65 bucks shipped. The torque and power it has is just perfect for a truggy and for the price brand new, you can't beat it. Here is a video of both of mine running in my back yard track. I love the rc8t's and want one more.

I would definatly get the MMM ESC with the 1800kv motor. That motor in my brothers truggy barely gets warm. For bashing get a 5s for the extra power.

So I am trying to remember how to figure out the speed of a brushless motor. A 2200kv motor spins at about 2200rpm per 1 volt correct?
