What is the issue about clean installs?

There are ways to do it. But I dislike cutting up leads. my next car might need a longer one. IMO, replaceable leads are nice. But, I was also curious to see if anything else was changing.

I actually have 2 questions about that install. I have that same servo and car. and that servo lead seems to be about 1cm to short. and I dont see the really long viper wires, and that is a lot to hide.

I changed the leads on the servo to the tq tripple black 22 5mm lead, the esc wires are folded over and then shrink wrapped and tucked right infront of the c block.
i know this is a onroad car but you can see it here

I was looking to do the same thing with the 150mm, but I figured it was too short. anyway, thx for the tip.

Back to the rumors or new esc from viper, lol

I wouldn't mind seeing in a new version of the ESCs the ability to replace the power switch.

The Lee Martin SN-3401 was purposely made with a smaller leader -- as Lee uses. Most applications that would use a low profile servo the receiver is close by.

The standard low profile xpert servos come with longer leads.

As for Wild Cherry's post -- anyone remember Hogan's Hero's --- "I know nothing!!!"

had great time again with the Viper VTX8s at a local get together race. The director has a personal track at his house, was nice to just kick back and run for fun but still competitive.

Only question I have is this. I remember this issue coming up back with the previous software, but noticed it again with the current version.

Basically, off of a jump if I tried to rev the motor to bring the nose up, once in awhile I would notice it seemed to just loose power as if the throttle input was not present.

I am wondering could it be some sort of "rev" protection as it happened when the motor was more towards its top end. I went up in pinion size based on this to see if it would help and it appeared to make it happen less.

Other than that, loads of power and didn't miss a beat anywhere else.

I hope Viper considers a 550 4 pole motor in the future.

I too find/found this, a weird loss of power when free wheeling in the air!

Had motor/ESC issues in the last qualifier this weekend. Friend had a VTX10 BE 6.5T combo he let me run in the mains. I went from a 9.5T Speed Passion and this was night and day smoother. Was easier to drive and of course faster. I see more Viper products in my future builds!

Raising your throttle punch Will make this less apparent I usually run no less than 90% in my 4wd sc

I'm new to Viper and looking for a setup for SCT410 with 4300hd 16 pinion indoor medium bite. I actually have 2 Sct410, one with the above setup and one with RX8 g2 and HW4700, rest of the trucks are identical and the viper / 4300 is much slower, less punch and hard to control pitch of truck in the air. All setting most likely, but as stated I'm new to viper. I do have the programmer with it. Tested yesterday with several setting but working on 4 cars I don't really have time to play with each setting so your help is much appreciated.
