Default Adding weight on buggy

I have been told that adding weight to the front end of a buggy will help it corner better. Where and how much should i put on a b4.1?

All o your B4.1 questions are answered in the B4.1 thread as well as just about anything else you would need to know. No need to start new threads about stuff like this when anything and everything would be answered already in that thread

I would start with one piece on the front bulkhead and go from there. I run 2 pieces. AE sells lead weight kits.

Add 1 oz or 4 weights under the rear shock tower and half oz in wither side of the chassis in the rear in front of the shock tower.

The guy in the next post answered the question in 1/2 the space that you used not to. Kind of funny if you were trying not to waste space or time.

its kinda sad to have to add weight to a car to get it to handle. If anything it just makes the car looser on the track. Your adding weight to the end of the car just makes car rotate more. You should handling through suspension setups.

If everything else is perfect, why risk introducing a new dislike to your setup?

If you don't like the repeat threads, why bother even going to an RC forum?

weight up front will help. mainly on power steering but too much will make the car push. with the b4 you shouldnt need to run weight up front. but it also depends on what setup you are running.

Dude, ignore them. You got your answer in 3 posts. Some guys who have forgotten when they were newbs will flame you just to flame something. I mean Jeez, you would think that someone with 2000+ posts would provide more productive advice.

BuggyKing is on the money with his advice. Some people like searching through 100+ posts. I rather get to the point and get the answer to MY question.

Just remember to "pay it forward" and help other newbs out there who are just asking innocent questions to learn. Have fun at the track.

It isnt part of the setup but it will effect the handling of the car. For example if the car is already having an issue with rotating to much threw a corner. What will happen when you add more weight to that side. It will rotate more. So instead of having to add weight to a car for handling why not work on more suspension setup in the car. See where Im getting at.

My point is the same and you've been bagged on by others desides me about it. Why not ask in the T/B 4.1 thread? Or search that thread and see if you find the answer? To not be such a dink I'll tell you that if you look at every set-up sheet from AE's site they all add weight to the rear of the car including the .1 versions. I've never seen anyone fast or slow add weight to the front of a buggy. To those who say why add weight at all, these cars were designed around much heavier nimh batteries. Even though the .1's are better suited for lipo the basics of the car are the same and the changes are not enough to make up for a roughly 6 oz. weight difference. IMO
