Default Off to the track... What's in your bag?

So, I'm new to racing/tracking completely and am not sure exactly what'd I would need to take. Just figured batteries, charger, car, radio would be a good start!

I was wondering what all you pros out there take to the track either to practice or race. Post a picture of your rig if you can. Much appreciated!

*I was gonna post this in the Racing Forum but noticed that only events and track info are posted there.

Tools, charger, batteries, truck, and a couple sets of tires since it what hooks depends entirely on who watered the track

i googled exactly what you asked to find this...

http://fastharry.com/etc/technical-f...-to-the-track/

actually a few things on there i didnt think about either lol

SENSE OF HUMOUR and HUMILITY – PRICELESS!
basically any tool it would take to completely rebuild your car. major parts (arms, hubs, ballcups) alot of the stuff on that list can be removed because it seems dated back to nimhs lol, and if electric another 1/4 can be removed.

Is this really what people take to the track? I think I would need a few boxes, a dolly, and a truck to lug all that to the track...

That site is indeed a great help, but seems a tad unrealistic. I was looking to gauge those that track often and have a set "package" they take with them, much like TBird's response.

In addition to the car, radio, charger:

-Spare parts (arms, ballcups, ballstuds, spacers, etc. etc.)
-Shock oils, lubes, grease, etc.
-Tuning aids (camber and ride height gauge)
-Any tool that I might need to replace any part on the car.
-Bin o'tires
-Soldering station and all associated supplies
-A pit-board

and I'm sure I'm missing plenty.

Looks like people take lots of things. What do you transport it all in? Seems like it would take more than a duffle bag.

Pit bags are expensive, but I'll pick one up one of these days.

walmart is really your friend for rc. i bought a roller travel bag there for $20 (more space then $40-$50 "rc bags") and then using storage boxes you find in the fishing section work really nice for parts / screws/ tools. they are from plano, and are called "stowaway" boxes and come in a few different sizes too, and are all in a $3-$7 price range.

Bring a temp gun and digital multimeter. Those are 2 very important tools for electric that people often overlook.

I have two of these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTTD8&P=7
They carry all my tools and spare parts (including soldering station and charging equipment). Then I have a small plastic tub that has my extra tires in it and radio. If you pack smart, you can take it all with no problem.

I basically take everything I own especially if I'm heading out of town. If I'm running at my local track (I live 6 minutes away) I may elect to leave something rarely-needed at home knowing that I can run home and get it or call the wife but more often than not, I carry it all.

I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
