Default Why is there no T4-SC10 conversion kit?

I've seen at least two companies making conversions for the Losi XXXT truck to turn it into a SCT (CRC and Exotek)... why isn't there a kit like these for the T4 to convert it to an SC10???...

I have a T4 that I probably will NEVER run again... and if I could convert it to a SCT I would be very happy (versus buying a SC10 and having two trucks, or trying to sell my T4... which is in great condition since I've only raced it twice)

Well they do the FT SC10 with the hop ups. Is that what ur asking.
Not sure why they don't have a aftermarket chassis etc for them.

Because Associated doesn't make any real money that way.
You'll be better off buying a cheap used sc10 and steal the parts off of it then but the parts new.

Chassis and side guards
battery hold down
frt and rr bumpers
body mounts
front shock tower
you can just drill the two holes needed in the rear tower yourself instead if buying a new one
tires and wheels
about 125.00 for the parts above.

Thats because Losi doesn't make a SCT yet.
Associated already has the FT SC10 = no reason to make a conversion

But I am sure you could just but a SC10 chassis and bumpers and make your own SC10

Well I'll look into just converting my T4... I'm just trying to figure out the least I would have to do to make the conversion happen... if the chassis and bumpers is pretty much all I need then I'm good (I have wheels and tires)... do I NEED the shock towers and other parts? or can I get away with the bare minimum?

THanks

The new front shock tower and rear motor guard allow mounting of the SC10 bumpers.

Use the RPM front bumper/skidplate, and you should get away with the stock T4 front shock tower.

How about an SCX - 60? Mid-motor design is the fastest SC out there. Conversion Kit for the T4 and a different Kit for the SC10FT. Contains every part you need, just like all the X Factory Kits. Podium finishes in stock and mod at the Nats.

I've been wanting to convert my t4.1 to an sc10 too, my local track doesn't run a 2wd truck class anymore, just an sc10 class. one of the other guys I race with converted his t4 and it cost him about $75. it'd be nice if AE made a kit that contained all the parts to do so. might be cheaper to just buy a $100 roller and just swap out the electronics from the t4.

It is a lot easier to buy a roller. When the SC10 first came out they cracked a lot around the front of the chassis, around the servo saver. This one of the reasons why no conversion kit. There a lot of difference in the two also.

And the only reason there is a kit for the xxx-t is because the Strike was trash and Losi took to long making a new SCT

Buy a chassis and forget about the bumpers, you have the wheels. Then go race it. $25
Can add an RPM front bumper/skidplate for another $20.

Or dump the T4 and pick up an SC10, basically a trade so you get what you want. Best idea.
Probably get some extras in the deal too and you won't be stuck with T4 spares either.

Converted my FT T4 into a SC10 with parts from ebay.

Chassis, f/r body mounts, f/r bumpers and wheels.

Wheels (tires and rims) cost more than the chassis parts. Got wheels for Open and Stock classes.

As I've raced AE for six years I had the bolts, screws and springs in stock. :-)

===

Was CHEAPER to convert my GT2 into a SC-GT2!!!
