Default Body repairs?

While at the track the other day my T4.1 got run over a couple of times by 1/8th 4x4s . Now I have a couple of cracks in the shock tower area that are going to run away on me. Any fixes, or do I just run it until it splits in half?
Maybe some epoxy or something?

i hear some people use the reinforced tape in the stress points of the bodies to help them not crack or when it has cracked they use the epoxy

If you're going to keep running with 8th scale vehicles theres no point in fixing it.
I used to have this problem when i ran in rookie [where anything goes] and i just ran the same body till i moved up to stock truck and got a nice custom painted, jconcepts body.

Default Body Repair

Drywall reinforcing tape and Shoo glue. Place the tape in the cracked area and smear Shoo glue over the tape until it is fully covered, Recoat if needed after it dries!!

diddo the drywall tape, plastic type with thin coat of shoe goo. then wait till it dries and apply another coat of tape with another thin coat of shoe goo. if i bought a new body I wouls install it in vulnerable areas before running. works amazing.

Good advise. Some peeps just don't seem to care about others. Luckily 90% of the people I've met are great.

Yes that works awesome. I used it all the time when I ran the SC bodies.

If you really dont want it to spread, you can always drill a small hole in the end of the crack. Then repair as stated. May save a little time on it.

Could then always save that body for when on track with the bigger guys, only run a replacement when running in your class. I run either old, or rtr bodies when practicing/bashing and the good ones on race days.

Just my 2¢

Did the tape and shoe goo thing (actually Goop). Worked out great. Could be a little prettier, but it's on the inside so no one else will know.
Was at the track today with another 1/8th'er but he was pretty cool and it wasn't an issue. When I saw another one put his car down and 2 more on the benches getting ready I figured it was time to head out.
Thanks for the tips
Vic

Its perfect for short course bodies cause it doenst take long to destroy the bodies.

He he welcome to TRCR... I had a eRevo land on my brand new SC10 body and cracked it in half last year. Shoe goo seems to be the best fix I have tried. I do it before I run the bodies now.

That's where I was in Tacoma. Do I know you?
When I get a new shell I'm going to reinforce the section between and around the shock towers. I'm a newb so I'm pretty tough on things, but getting landed on and run over really seems to take its toll.
