this is def one of those opinion questions. I've had a losi and an ae. I run the rc8be now. I always thought I liked my losi a little better but it was newer and tighter, yet I drive my ae much more consistant and faster. I was planning on switching to a tekno v4 conversion when they come out but now I'm not sure. Switched to a tekin 1550kv on 5s and 6s and it completely changed the car.I was running mmmv3 2200kv. The new setup is super smooth and unbelieveable on 6s. Do the research and get what you want the first time. If your not racing at ROAR events I would highly recommend going lower kv higher voltage setup as its cooler and more efficent I would have saved alot of money had I known this to begin with.

Everyone I know who switched from something else into a Caster improved their lap times. Car isn't the most expensive, but it is the most effective.

Just about any of the V4 conversions from Tekno are a step up from the competition (except for the V4 Losi). The weight distribution is really good. Made my RC8 feel like a new car.
Hyper 9 is pretty good but the quality of the parts is rather crummy. Weight distribution is similar to the Tekno V4's. Save yourself some aggravation and go straight for the Tim Bump edition if you get a Hyper9E. The upgraded center shaft and the chassis are well worth the money.
Losi 8ight is a durable car except for front-center drive shafts which wear out fast. This car doesn't handle the greatest is my opinion. Great on a high traction surface but a handful on a loose surface.
Those are the 3 I own, don't have much input on the other cars out there.
