Default Help me choose my next car

Okay so I think I want to get a short course truck. I don't really have time for racing because of work and school so I'm mainly looking for a basher. I'm not tough at all on my cars I usually don't bash them hard. So what should I get? I think I want 4wd. Hows the slash 4x4? I've never really been a slash fan so im weary. Also what about the jammin scrt10? Is that more of a race truck? How fragile is it? I'd like to hear personal experiences. Also any other suggestions would be great.

get what you want..

dont let people choose the car for you.. you will be unhappy in the long run

just GET what YOU want.. not what other people say.. you will just be let down with the decision.

what ever you choose is what you choose!

Oh I know but I'd just like to hear what people have to say about them because I really don't know much about them yet. Haven't done my homework on them.

Don't let the Traxxas bashers fool you. I was also VERY wary of Traxxas (Losi fan myself), but found a new Slash 4x4 roller too cheap to pass up - and have to say I am pretty impressed. The Slash 4x4 is a pretty capable vehicle (some racing deficiencies, yes, but definitely right in the mix at our track), and it has plenty of tuning options if you ever do decide to race occasionally (or just enjoy the tinkering). The main reason I say Slash is stoutness, support, and parts (and hop-up) availability. Oh, and to keep things interesting, it will haul asphalt very nicely. I'm man enough to admit that mine still scares me a little - with a 550 can on 3s (just plain mean!).

Don't get me wrong, the Jammin is a dang fine truck and it does REALLY well at our track. I just think that the current production 4x4 SCT offerings are not quite there yet. The fastest at our track (excellent driver, mind you!) is an OFNA, and it sounds like it is going to fall apart (and sometimes does!). I am waiting for Losi and Assoc to bring their new toys. I think at that point the SCT 4x4 market will totally change. Not that they will take over, but there will be better (backed by more R&D $s), higher quality, and more options out there. And parts availability will go through the roof.

Sorry for all the 'track' references, I know you are looking to bash. Hope this helps!

No the slash has cheaper parts.. more redialy avail at almost EVERY hobby shop..

Who stocks jammin/hyper parts..

the 4 hobby shops (other then A main hobbis) has every part to replace on the 4x4 slash.. they didnt even have a single jammin/hyper part.

unless you consider tires spare parts.
