Default losi e conversion questions

Im planning on converting my 2.0 race roller to an E and was wondering if the losi conversion was still a good way to go? Or should I use a different conversion kit? I would like to use castle or tekin and was wondering if the motor mount would accept different motors other then excelorin? My plan is to run the Neu-Castle 1512 1.5Y 1800kv motor on a
4s lipo with the mmm esc , is this a good plan? This will be used on a backyard track thats not very big.
Thanks for the help.

the Losi conversion motor mount will fit other motors besides the xcelorin. When I had my losi, i used the tekin motors and it fit perfectly.

I hear that the Tekno conversion is very good as well. I believe it gives you the option to use a clutch and mechanical brakes.

I've done both w/ the losi 8ights and I would highly recommend going w/ the tekno conversion.. couple extra bucks more but you get a chassis, the e-clutch. That can be used as a traktion drive or a clutch and the ability to run mechanical brakes to boot.
