Default Tamiya Frog

Does anyone know if there is a replacement body availiable for the original Tamiya Frog?
I came across one the ther day that is complete, but the body needs to be replaced.
I thought I would get it running and give it to my grandsons.

thanks for any help

Back when I was a little child, I had the Hornet as my frst car. The Hornet and Grasshopper bodies were interchangeable but the Frog had a unique body design (because of the unique rear shock design I think) I never recalled seeing anyone swapping the Frog body with something else but then again that was o...30 years ago Does this mean Bill is gonna race off road? hehe

Mr.T!!
NADA!! No off-road for the guy. The car is 100% complete, but the body is a little rough. Not too bad considering how old it is though.
Thought my grandsons woulld get a kick out of it

Is the body on the original any different than the one on the re-re? If not, then order Tamiya part # 1825407.
There looks to be some available on eBay as well.

My first RC car was a Frog that my cousin handed down to me way back in about '82 or '83.

You know I never even thought about Flea Bay, but I just checked it out, and have located quite a few bodies.
One of the problems with the older cars is they use the older style plugs on the receiver/servos. So I would need to either buy a cheap AM radio to go with the cars system, or change out the steering servo, mech. speed control and go with an FM system. Really does not matter to me, as I am going to get it running for my grandsons to run around with.
But to answer your question, it does have the original body, tires, servos<2> speed control and even battery pack. So the car is complete, but I may have to change out the electronics to an FM system.

thanks for the help everyone
