Default Anyone been running the 1512 castle motor in a truggy this season?

I was debating on running a castle/neu 1512 1800kv next season, to squeeze out a little more run time in long amains (I race against mostly nitro's). My current castle 1y stays rock cold and gets me 17-18 minutes typically, but I would like some info if anyone has tried this. I don't gear crazy typically my tekno 8ight-t is at 13t/48t with mechanical brakes. I'd just like to stretch my setup to 20min and this seems like the best way and cheapest way to do it if the motor can handle it.

PS I race w/ Hyperion vx 4s 6500mAH 35c packs

Thanks..

The 1512 is the short can buggy motor , you want the 1518 , its a torque monster and runs very cool compared too my 1515 .

a 1518 is too much for a race truggy.. not to mention a battery hog.. LOL my 2200 doesn't get the slightest bit hot in my tekno 8t setup.

I've been running the 1515 1y as noted above, the 1512 really isn't that much smaller and I'm debating on running it if not on 4s geared a touch taller, but maybe on a 5s 5800 pack geared the same for TOP end. This should yeild a bunch more run time if the motor can stay cool enough.. vs my current 4s 6500's w/ the 2200 (1y) castle nue. I may just stay w/ the 2200 1y I had great success this year racing.. but I'm a tweaker

PS I ran the tekno lektron 2200kv motor in my 8ight buggy all season and with out any heat issues or problems.. the 1512 is bigger than this motor, so I figured it maybe able to do the job..
