steering issue?

steering issue?
i been having some steering issues with my rustler on and off. it seems sometimes if i hit the tubing on the sides of the track with one front wheel or jumping even, sometimes my steering goes to one side. i can kinda see if i smacked the side real hard with one wheel. but like today i jumped the pretty big jump at the track, and my wheels were turned to the right. i could adjust my steering trim to straighten it out, but then that cuts my steering for turning left. i have to make sure my servo is centered, then take off my servo saver and steering arm and move it back to where the wheels are straight. i dont like how the servo gear that sticks out is plastic, the servo adapter and servo saver is all plastic. and the teeth seem real small. i wish i could put metal gears and adapter, servo saver all metal. but i dont want to buy a new servo just for a metal gear there. any ideas?

wait, i just looked at a servo saver with adapter on ebay. do i need to use the adapter? maybe if i just mount the servo saver on the servo with out the adapter, it will quit moving on me. because on ebay for $ 4.96 i can get a new servo saver with 2 adapters. it says the adapters are for Futaba and Airtronics. or could my servo saver be worn out? should i order the new one?

That saver is meant to run with the insert. If its stock servo, it should use the Futaba insert. Using the wrong insert (or not using one) will let it strip and once stripped saver won't stay put on the servo. I think thats what is going on with yours.
I use a Kimbrough saver, I think you can get them without the inserts. You match the saver to the servo - MG servo needs a hd saver. Plastic geared servo uses std saver.
