I hate the rubber upgrade pit mat! It's heavy you can't fold it a POS IMO.

Now there new neomats are amazing I love them! That is worth the 50.00 bucks. I do also use a white towl under neath just looks better.

I've got a upgrade mat and well worth the money. I've accidentally burned it with my soldering iron a few times and still working great. I do agree it's hard to take to the track. I just roll it up and put it in my bag with a few other items.

i went even cheaper... suv bed linder from walmart for $8 in the car section. there are rollout rubber ones, gray or black has little "gooves" so it helps from screws rolling off.

also like the magnetic bowl idea might have to checkout sears for one for x-mas deals lol

At the track I use a Walmart black bath towel that cost $3.98. Works great. At home on the work bench I do have the old larger size Upgrade RC mat and it works really well. Has lots of pockets to hold screws and is very durable/easy to clean. However it's a pain to haul to the track, thus the bath towel wins out for now.

Never thought to try a Yoga mat, going to have to try one of those out.

I'm using this right now. Works well, has slots for stuff, and the edge has a lip. Pretty cheap too, but you're advertising for Jegs. LOL.

I run SC so the car is pretty big on the mat.

After using rubber mats/Upgrade pitmats, rubber shelf padding/toolbox drawer liner and various others..I'm using simplicity and liking the towel.

I use a towel at home and a pit mat from a race a few years ago.
