Default B4 help

Hay guys, I dont mean to beat this to death, but I dont really feel like looking through 500 pages, Just picked up a b4 love it just trying to gear it better, ny track has some triples one big doubble couple tight turns a long sweeper with a 100foot stright, have a mmp for 1/10 and runninf a lrp 7.5 motor. Sorry for this question again, but thanks again

Are looking to find out what pinion to spur to run.

try 21-22 pinion and 78 spur, should get ya close

22/78 or 20/83 Should be right.

I dont think they make an 83 t spur not sure. You could run like an 81t with 23 pinion maybe.

That's a HUGE motor with today's batteries. Regardless of gearing, you're probably going to want to motor down to an 8.5 or 10.5.

Thanks guys, for the help I know the motor is a big motor Im running a 5400 2cell 25c Im at 87/20 got 33min run time but not sure if thats good gearing so I will try the other gearing

Nah thats a great motor for a b4! I run a 5700kv (roughly a 7.5) castle motor in mine and it loves it. I think im 21/87 but i cant remember. It never goes above 130 i could go higher but theres no need.

Ya thats where Im at, Its not too fast but fast enought, and it has good hit but not to much where you cant control it, Didnt know if there was better gearing for the motor combo or not.

so long as your esc and motor temps are in check, sounds like you found your ideal gear setup to fit your driving style

Ya my motor temp is about 117 125 and the esc is about 107 117 without the fan

I've been running 23/78 with a 7.5 forever with no motor temp issues at all and lots of top end with a smooth bottom. (yeah, I said it)
