The 1512 is a shorter can than the 1518. Shorter can = less torque. They are both rated at 1800rpms / volt with no load but the 18 is more suited for big monster trucks like the ERevo or other 1/8 scale vehicles. The 1512 is for a 4x4 SC or 1/8 buggy. Either will be good on 4S but depending on the size of the track 5S may be better.

the 1520 should be great in a truggy on 6s. i have seen truggies with the motor and they run really well. stone cold temps all day and runtime doesn't seem to be affected. i just ordered one for crt x2.

Yeah I've been running a Tekin 1350 on 6s, I forgot to mention that. I'm not looking for balls out power, just lightweight efficiency. I'm only using a 3300 pack and it gives me about 15min runtime(comparable to a 4s 5000 1900-2200 setup).
Will my 3300 6s pack handle a 1520 (1600kv), since it's a little up compared to a 1350?

Thanks for posting this! I ordered 2 of the 1512 1800kv buggy motors. I was tempted to get one of each of the sale motors but I really don't have a use for them. Hope they are still in stock by the time my order processes. That is an awesome deal!

A quick word of warning. If you ordered a 1512 1800 motor, be careful when you first hook it up. I wired mine up to a MMPro with the wires wired correctly to the corresponding wires on the ESC (white to white, red to red, black to black) and it runs backwards! It is easy to fix but it might be an unwelcome surprise for someone who puts it in at the last minute before going out to race a qualifier.
