I run a CC MMM with a Tekin 1400kv on one of my Losi 8ight 2.0's- I prefer the castlelink software hence why I went with CC for the ESC.

I have bought all my kits and parts from Amain Hobbies- I have never found anywhere in Australia that can match their prices (even with shipping), their range and shipping options (I can get parts from Amain quicker than ordering something from Sydney; tried it once, never again).

sweet, i havent had a look at at amain, only stormer hobbies, how do you go with customs!, have you had any issues?
have you ever brought in a whole car?

Yep, I like my local guys, but even when the dollar was in the 70's you could get electronics from AMain/Stormer etc for almost half the price.

I've ordered about 5 cars (Losi 8ight's, some micro's etc) from Amain and never had any issues. Bear in mind that most of my orders are under $1K; the one time I spent more than that in a single order I got hit with import duties, GST, customs' social club fees, customs' lunch club fees etc etc etc. It was still cheaper than getting the parts in Australia (besides which some of the parts weren't available here at the time- Tekno RC conversion kits). Australian Customs are actually very efficient at processing items and I've never had anything delayed as a result of their part of the shipping process.

The only hassle I've encountered was that for a while Amain wouldn't ship 2.4ghz DX3R's over, but I believe that has changed now.

Sweet, i had a look at amain and there prices were good, its a pain to sign up though with there credit card policy, so i just went with pay pal, checked out the customs website and as long as the package is under 1k it doesn't have any duties/taxes, my stuff should arrive in a few days
