Haha this just came up like 10 posts ago. Aluminum top plate, extra front hub carriers, Id also recommend the aluminum rear chassis brace, delrin spur, and maybe an extra set of axles if youre going "big"

Also, replace your rear CVDs with a set of front ones. It's listed in the list of hop-ups on the NitroHouse Website. The stock CVDs have been known to snap on occasion.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but the search function didn't show anything.

I just picked up a TT and I'm going to be putting a Traxxas VXL setup in it for now and was wondering what size pinion do you guys recommend?

I would think a 12T Would be the best... Maybe 11T... Make it easy and get a 3mm to 5mm adapter...The kit should have a 13t That will bolt right on... Just be careful with your temps... Do you have a fan running on the esc?

No fan right now.

I have a Tekin 4.5 on the way for my SC so now I'm thinking I may just sell the VXL setup and buy another MMP and run the MMP/Tekin 4.5 in my SC and MMP/Neu 1410 in the TT.

I have heard great things about the neu 1410. The price is excellent!!! I am running a novak 5.5t 550 motor, and the novak sc pro esc. It is working excellent running 15t pinion.

Holy crap, fitting the VXL system in this nearly impossible...

Anyone running a VXL setup in their TT? If so, where did you mount everything? Right now I have my ESC 1/2 mounted on the plate just above the servo with servo tape and then my receiver on the ESC plate. Top fits on right now, I'm just worried with the ESC only 1/2 on the plate I will have issues with it possibly coming off.

I ran the MMP with Tekin SC4X 4.5 with a 14t pinion in my TT and it was SOOOOO AWESOME. Never got hot and it flat out hauled arse.

Where are you guys fitting all your electronics? I didn't anticipate how little space there was under the body as I forgot my 10SC has a lot more room due to the bigger body.

If someone has some pics of their TT with a MMP or VXL or something similar in size I'd like to look at them so I can figure out where to put this stuff.

i used zipties instead of servo tape for the esc on the plate over the center dif. every little bit helps. i have a mmp and buggy body. and the receiver above the steering servo. not sure if the vxl is bigger than mmp though

Hopefully this will work, here's a pix of my TT before I switched out the MMPro for a RX8.

As usual, my MMPro had internal BEC issues so I dumped it and went with the RX8. I don't have a photo but it fits.

After this photo I moved the battery tray forward to give it better balance and it's pretty sweet on the jobs. Just a quick tap on the throttle and it's a pretty smooth landing. I haven't tested out the RX8 in place for jumps but I suspect I may have to move the batter tray back again.

Would you mind emailing it to me? [email protected]

Default VXL in a TT

I used a Velineon System in my TT as a backup and it does fit above the servo (I also had a fan on it). The Velineon fits better when the front of the ESC is facing the right.

I actually got it all squeezed in there today...I zip tied it to the ESC tray up towards the front and that gave me the clearance I was missing.

I ran it around the front yard for the first time and I can see this things going to be fun. I only had a 14T 3mm pinion and after about 5 mins motor and esc were only around 100 degrees.

Also installed my Tekin SC4X 4.5 in my 10SC today, but need to get a 5mm pinion for it as I don't have any of those laying around.

Thanks for your guys help and suggestions.

10SC is pretty dirty
