Running the TT w/a 10.5 Nemesis and stock 13T pinion. Its way under-geared. Any suggestions on a pinion?

Also, would a 10.5 be considered underpowered for this truck? If so, what motor/pinion would be a good choice for a small indoor clay track with a short straight?

A lot are running 6.5 motors, though in my case I turn my best laps towards the end of the battery running a 6.5 lrp octa with 13t , probably a 7.5 or 8.5 would cut it for me but on the other hand I'm still learning this truck. Our indoor track has a 70-80 foot straight and a lot of 180 turns, i only pull the trigger on the straight. I just enjoy it more when it rips as a lot at our club do. Rather get a lower turn motor and tune it down than the other way round in my opinion, and trigger control is learnable.

I mocked it up and turned out to be 1 inch narrower and 1 inch shorter than my Rc8te but quite a bit lighter. Somewhere between the TT and an 1/8 truggy. I've got stuff on order for it now and will post pics when done. It just might be competitive in the 1/8 class due to the lighter weight.
Well since i'm going on my 3rd weekend without recieving my 10TT thats on backorder STILL I have taken a few steps toward this project. I got some 17mm hexes on the way and some 1/8 Truggy wheels with 1/2" offset. I put the roller on a real diet by pulling all the plastics and drilling about 100 holes in the chassis. I drilled in places that could afford it without giving too much on the integrity of the strength. I can't afford a 550 setup right now so I'll be maintaining the Vxl on 11T. The weight I removed from it will balance back out to normal with the added extra weight of the Truggy tires. So weight is about the same as normal but its final drive will be geared up since the wheels are taller. I'm guessing it will be about equivlant to running a 4.5T on SC tires. Basically I would classify this Truggy as a 1/9th scale. Just for the hell of it I'm going to throw it in with the 1/8 truggies this weekend and see how she does. Yes its got less torque than they do but it also weighs substantially less.

I was trying to post a pic of the drilled chassis but the pic thing isn't working on the site's end right now.

i run a Tekin RSpro and it would hit the body mounting it on the diff plate i had to move it behind the motor. i see a couple of pics with people running mambas on the diff plate but idk how they are doing it without touching the body.

It will be the weekend before I get to run at the track. I made a few passes thru the yard just to see everything work. What little I drove it, the power seemed very smooth.
My speed control fits on the diff plate under the body with a little room to spare.

That would be good if you guys came over to race with us. So far I may be the only one with a TT but I hope others get them. A class for these would be nice. To make a class we need 3 to 5 trucks. 4x4 Sc will be a class most likely. Hope this truggy gets some attention.

Nitrohouse has some of the best, most consistent shipping in R/C IMO. Support will not be an issue. LHS's might be a problem but just order spares.

Using a 9100T I had laying around....probably overkill...but since I don't use JR in my 1/8 stuff might as well try it on my TT

10.5 would be way underpowered to me. i would say that a 8.5 would be the slowest motor i would go. i run a 6.5 motor with 11t and its perfect for the local indoor track.
