What's the best motor for this class in terms of efficiency, 540 or 550?

Will a MMP or RX8 fit?

some guys on the wcrc track was saying the 550 has more torque, but the 540 overall did better on the track... im sticking with the 550 ballistic... im sure it'll be fast enough...

but this is for the losi ten-t... and im using a castle MMP...

I'd buy this thing in a heartbeat.... That is, if I knew enough folks in my area would also buy so there's a class to race it in.

I know cupp plans on buying one, I will be running one by spring at the latest as well. I am sure a couple of others will buy them as well down by us after they see them run. Also check the sheboygan page if you haven't already, the track is going to be club run this coming year.

Craig mentioned that to me a few weeks ago. (About the club thing)

Where are you guys going to race in the winter/wet season? Would you guys hike it to Green Bay or are you racing indoors somewhere in Sheboygan?

If you wanna chat about it, PM me, I can give you my cell#

Anybody running a Novak HV 5.5? I was thinking of getting out of my Short course and into this. This looks to be more of a race truck!

I emailed Nitrohouse and asked them a similar question. He was their response.

Hi Austin,

I personally am using an RX8 on my TT with the 550 motor. The only reason I am using the RX8 is because I have a few extra from my 1/8 buggies that I now run Mamba's in. The RX8 is big but will fit on top of the servo plate in the TT. The Novak Havok SC 550 system would probably be my system of choice. As for using 1/10 ESC's with the 550 motor I can only recommend the Castle Mamba Max Pro because I know it works well. I have seen others using the Tekin RS and other 1/10 scale ESC's but I am unsure of the durability. Because the 550 powers the TT very easily I would think you could run a wide range of ESC's. Best Regards - JT

No it's a 2 cell it just that Turnigy bat has a capacity of 5200 on the lable but when I charge them some of them go as far as 5500. And the 40c rating on the bat. seems like it has more because my Dark Series bats don't even have the punch.
