Not mine but you can see the T-bone bumper offers some real protection for the front end. Along with the Aluminum knuckles can't imagine really breaking much on this little beasty

installed bumpstops on the rear shock shafts to prevent axle or dogbone bending Hpi# 106716.

Let's talk about Springs!
The current Hobao Hyper TT ships with Silver steel springs front and rear. I believe the older ones came with Orange with the option to buy Blue.
Old school Losi buggy springs fit. I had a set of worn Blue front and rear and this is what I measured on my ghetto spring tester (Dremel Workstation + shipping scale).
Front:
Hobao Silver: 3.37 lbs/in
Losi Blue (LOSA5134): 3.18 lbs/in
Rear:
Hobao Silver: 2.58 lbs/in
Losi Blue (LOSA5160): 3.97 lbs/in
So the front stock springs are fairly stiff and the rears are fairly soft in the grand scheme of things.
Still waiting on my replacement knuckles, then I'll be able to get the truck more dialed in. I run on a small, mid->high traction indoor clay track on slicks, so YMMV.

Well if I had decided to turn on a video camera yesterday, I would of a nice burning ESC for everyone to see! So now I am in the market for a new one. I am thinking either Castle or HobbyWing. Can I get some opinions as to which one I should go with? If you feel a particular combo is worth looking at I am all ears.
If you are wondering it was the Traxxas VXL that went up, I only installed that because it was all I had on-hand at the time.

Sorry to hear about the ESC, hopefully the truck escaped unharmed! The HW is pretty big and heavy, if there were a lighter and smaller ESC, I would consider that.

Its nice to see this thread getting some action again...I bought a used hyper 10tt about yr ago off ebay love tha truggy look and at tha time couldn't afford 1/5 scale...It came with a Castle 3800kv super fast and fun only up grade I've done was tha aluminum front steering knuckles(very nice I must say)...I'm looking to up grade tha shocks and some other things I hate tha pop off shock set up...Anyone have any idea's ????
