I just bought a hyper tt with the following
1.Mamba max pro brushless system 5700kv motor
2.Hitec hs-985mg steering servo
3.carbon upper and lower trays,servo brace, and shock towers.
4.strc chassis braces f+r
5. cvd f+r
6.spectrum sr300 receiver
7.strc center diff holder
I dont know how well the 5700kv 2 pole motor will be on this truck but i plan to go the 550 route if that motor doesnt pan out. Also id like a faster servo any thoughts?

I would go with a SAVOX 1258TG good price and good performance. (That is what I am running)
And for the motor...I am using a Novak Ballastic 550 4.5T with my Speed Passion GT PRO ESC and a 15t pinion and all my temps are within 90*-110*F range.
The 5700 will probably do ok, but you will have to watch your temps.
I would go with a SAVOX 1258TG good price and good performance. (That is what I am running)

I was planning to buy a Hyper 10TT,but just if I can use the electronics I previously had in my B44. What concers me is the motor,I have a Novak Ballistic 6,5T 540 size motor. But this car uses Mod 1 pinions right? Any possibility of using 64 pitch in this car? thanks!

Yea its mod 1, and 64dp is'nt a option and even if you could get a spur to fit, it would last a few seconds before it got stripped with such a fine tooth pitch

It comes with a 14t or 13t pinion for a 540 sized motor, Unless you are getting a used one. Just make sure they include it.
And AJ is right it will be chiclets in a matter of minutes or days. Depending on how hard you drive.

Does anyone know where to get yellow dish wheels for this car?
I was pointed towards the Losi 22T wheels, how do you think those will work? Any better options?

OK, well I finished this up Monday, and took it up and down the street a little yesterday but the real test was today, I took it to the track with the kids and there t4.1's... I spent a pack getting it dialed a little, actually ended up moving a lot around, and suprisingly the shocks were pretty easy to setup and they are awesome... I went all day with out breaking anything, until walking to the truck holding it by the wing, I dropped it on its face and finished the front shock tower off....
I am only running a 3300 540 motor rite now, but its still peppy, the truck flies pretty level, and the turning is great, I can see the tire choice is going to be critical and I dont really like how the bod mounts on these things, but besides that the truck is a beast...
I would say besides doing a real good job with the diffs, the shock and steering upgrades made huge differences...

Can u truely tell me that doing the diffs as u have will make them quiet and get rid of the typical TT drivetrain noise? I am doing mine now.
Also wat benefit is there by machining the area behind the drive cup as i see that as a little unimportant?
Would really appreciate ur response...

Hey guys, Im going to start the ultimate 10tt build, any ideas for hop ups, heres the ideas I have so far...
Starting with a Bump lightened chassis

Plus Im going to put bearings in the front steering, and install 6mm balls with screws through them on the front turnbuckle assemblies {also I'll use the entrie scrt bellcrank set up, I made bushing/spacers that fit in the bottom and lower the ackerman bar to clear the drive cup, it makes the front end silly smooth.
And I had to do a lot of playing around with the shocks to figure out the best way to build them for the tt, but the finished product turned out perfect and simple... {now I can do it in 20 minutes, but it costs a little over $100 to do it correctly...
The diffs, were easy, Ive done them a bunch of times, I coat the gaskets with indian head and double them up {the diffs are a little tight with one gasket when there new}, then I polish the thin washer that goes between the pin and oring, and fit the case with the drive cup by machining the rear face of the case {where the bearing sits} a small bit, kind of a touch and feel until its rite, taking off very small amounts at a time...and lastly I used 5000 weight in the rear and center and 1000 in the front... The diffs are super quiet and smooth...
Well, thats where I am so far, I got the shocks set up {tryed them on a friends tt for a weekend}, 3 brand new diffs built, and the steering done}, let me know if there is anything you can think of that I missed...

Can u go into more detail about exactly wat u do wen machining the rear of the case? Im a CNC machinist and cant fully understand wat this will achieve?
Are u talking about the outdrives or the main drive cup with the pinion gear?
This doesnt make sense. Please explain as im building my diffs like urs atm and i hope that drive train noise will be gone too? Especially after the effort?

Just spent the past few days reading all 237 pages. UPS drops off my 10tt today, putting in mmp and 1410 3800kv. Can't wait to try it on our backyard track.

Tech Initiate
Well, as expected my 10TT was in when I got home from work at 5pm. As soon as I walked in with it, I opened it and started to tear it apart, then boiled the parts for 45 minutes. I also did a quick paint job (I got the idea off of another member here who posted a picture in one of the pages.) I had the colors available and I'm happy with the results. MMP and 1410 3800 will be in on monday. Right now just a tacon and sidewinder to try it out.
So far Im very happy with this roller!! Cant wait to get it to the track...
