Currently, I am running a Velineon VXL combo (I know, I know), but I had it laying around. Surpriisingly it's quite nice on 2s. Bought a few extra pinions, but I think I will leave the 13 tooth on for indoor. With the buggy tires, according to Brian G's speed calculator, she gets to about 32mph..

Oh yeah, ditched the stock wheel combo for buggy tires/wheels with 17mm adapters for the 4x4 slash. It looks much better in my opinion. Looks more like my VTRs on my 1/8 scale 6T: Tekin 2000 combo - flawless....

I wanna put my 1/8 buggy wheels on the truck. What adapers did you use? Part number, maker? Please

Finally ran it at the track. It tends to nose dive. But thats just something you must overcome by keeping your finger on the throttle to compensate for it.

I changed out rear screws that hold the upright rears to the bottom arms. The originals where some cheap looking philips screws.

Changed out the shock fluids from 30w to 25w. Response was sloppy and slow.

The bushings (21078) in the steering rack I changed them out to bearings.

As far as durability, I did not break a thing. Did cart wheels, nose dives and back flips and landings upside down. No screws pulled out.

I would of came in 2nd but I had wired everything to close to the on switch. And at some point the wires hit the switch and turned it off. Bummer. I moved the switch to a better location; under the ESC.

Its a great truck and lots of fun to drive.

If I offended anyone I apologize
Not sure why you quoted me, because what i said is far far from flaming. I was just saying it doesnt seem like a good deal to me as it's an unknown brand, high price, and who knows where to get parts for it.....

You should have quoted the guys saying it looks like toy's r us junk, or a pile of crap, thats more like flaming to me......

You didnt offend me, no need to apologize, i agree it is good to look over all your options. There seems to be a lack of 1/10 4x4 electric truggy's in the market.

Default Wheels

The wheels I got from the HPI Nitro MT2 18SS. Perfect fit. I was originally gonna use them for the MT2.

Thanks,
These look like the wheels I just got... HPI Scorch... Comes with adapters for several axles sizes/styles... I believe the last pic he posted of the axle shows the axle adapter on. I had to drill out the adapter a little bit to get it to slide on the rears.

Yes, I forgot to mention the adapters I had to bore out a little to make them fit the rear shaft. The adapters were originally for the HPI MT2 18SS.
