i use the stock tires on hard packed clay and they wear perfectly. they hook really good also. only downfall is the foam breaks down when they are getting close to being done

I forgot to say "clay". If your running in wet clay the tires will last. If your running on a dry track, they won't last.

What tires would you recommend for a hard packed track?

Questions:

Has anyone put 17 hex adapters on to run buggy tires? I know someone asked dozens of pages ago.... What brand of adapters work?

Would a Novak 13.5 SS motor do okay (I believe it's a 3300 540)? I have one laying around. Had in in my rock racer, but took it out...

Thanks in advance,
Ted

I've got a set of RCmonster 17 hexes that fit perfect but no buggy tires yet. Soon I wear the stockers out I'll switch over.

have you changed the diff lube? if not try 5/5/1 also try the steering ackerman mod with the tie rod or get the new one from nitrohouse

I haven't the time to read 55 pages of this thread but the hyper 10tt just got released here in the UK and it's almost tempting me away from the hyper 7.5 1/8 buggy i was going to buy and make brushless.. looks really sweet. OFNA in the US are what we in the uk call HoBao, right? they make the hyper 7s etc here.

also wanted to add - anyone who thinks any RC car is not tough.. think about it.. say you jump 3 feet high with a 1/10 scale RC.. try jumping the equivalent in a real car (30 feet high) and you'll see how tough they are.. lol

Hey Ray did you ever get the chance to look up the part numbers on the steering mod ?

Thanks Rob

Thanx for embedding that vid for me SX

I will try to shoot some footage of the 10TT's tonight at OCRC so more peeps can see just how fun these rigs are and how well they handle.

Some mod's I have made to mine are:
All the SNG Carbon stuff including chassis which cut about 3/4 of a lb off the overall weight!
Aluminum Chasis braces
Rear hub carriers
Rear CVD's
Upgraded center diff spur (it still leaks but its coming out of front seal around outdrive) diffs are currently 5-7-2
Moved batt box all the way forward and mounted ESC behind the batt box for lower cg
dremelled away some material on the front diff for greater steering rack throw

PS on tires I think the stocker pre-mounted fuzzys x4 at 29.95 are by far the best deal and work pretty much everywhere I have been run it so far (OCRC, Outback, Delta/Norcal)
