That thing looks as queer as Elton John. I'll take the added weight any day over that thing. Thats a wopping 10% of one oz. of weight. I doubt it would make a huge differance.

Yes it's good for this truck. I only hit 130 after a 5 min run.

Default Some questions

Hey,

I am thinking of picking one of these up. I've been looking all over for a 1/10 brushless 4WD setup.

I've picked out:

Novak Ballistic 550 Brushless "Short Course" Motor (5.5T/3700Kv)
Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro 1/10 ESC
Hitec HS-965MG Ultra Speed HD Metal Gear Servo

Do these components make a good match for this truck?

Are there any recommended/must have hop-ups I am missing?

Also, what kind of pinion would I use with that motor for good low end and decent top end running? I'm not a racer but who knows. Does the kit come w/ pinions?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

e

Default motor opinions

ok, you guys have sold me on this truck, i will be ordering tonight....

one question:

i have a slash that i race at the local track. i have two motors for it, the sidewinder 4600kv and sidewinder SCT. sounds like the SCT is working well, but which do you think would be best for the TT? keep in mind the other system will go in the slash.

thanks!

If anyone finds a CVA that will replace the dogbone setup and is not the OFNA CVA, could you let us all know.
I appreciate your help.

LOL at the Elton John rip!!!

Plus, I would kinda want the weight to help keep the nose up....that is just me though.

Just ordered a sidewinder sct and a 15t pinion, really looking forward to testing it. The price is awesome, hopefully the performance, too.

Funny enough I broke the servo saver just where the turnbuckle attaches, never saw such, and this after everybody saying that the outer cups pop off alot, would have been cheaper...

Im hoping to have in my hands on monday (pending the postal system):

OFNA 1/12 High Downforce Wing.
Jammin CRT .5 Wing
Losi TEN-T Wing (holes drilled already so may not be good)

Ill be sure to post up pics of all of them fitted asap.

Just looking at them i like the Ofna as its the most aggressive

Cheers Matt
