I have broken 2 stub axles and that's getting old. I asked around at my lhs and 2 guys have bent the Ofna CVA's.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Thats a real weak link on the ofna 1/10 scales and nobody has a replacement thats beefier. I suppose someone could go threw a parts bin and maybe find a way to put something else in there. Other than that find someone who selld them cheap and buy a several spares. It does suck but there always seems to be a weak link with everything.

Bumped timing up one notch to 15*. Ran it hard for about 20 minutes. Temps estimated around ~170-180* on 75* day (I didn't have my temp gauge, but based upon easy 3-second rule and other factors, I'm close). I also bumped the braking up from the default 50% to 60% to go harder into turns, but that's a little too much whenin the air - super easy to grab too much brake in the air and cause an endo.

I'm getting my hyper tt ready to go and I have both the metal and delrin (strc) spur gear. Which one will hold up better? I'm running on our homemade grass track and gravel driveway. If there's not much wear difference I would prefer the delrin because it's quieter and smoother.

Interesting. The few people that have the Castle SCT in their TT's say that they run super cool compared to other 540 motors. Is this with the fan too?

How does the top end performance compare to a 6.5 540 and/or 4.5 550? I know it has the torque but I'm curious if it can hang with a 6.5 or 4.5.

It is in fact much cooler than the Castle 540 motors, even without the fan. I'd run an SCT combo up against a Novak 4.5/6.5 any day, on 2S. While the SCT has a lower kv rating than the 4.5, it is much more efficient than the Novak and with the right gearing is just as good on the top end. I like the new Tekin SC4X 4.5 motor too, but it is a lot more expensive for the motor & ESC.

You can always just get a set of the "front" universals for the rear I have heard they work... And toss the stub axles!

How are your motor's temps? Is it good for this truck? Top speed?

Hey has anyone noticed the lexan wing included in with the body? Any body run it over the standard wing and wing mount? Seems like it would make the whole truck lighter.
