For now I am running an Xcelorin esc and an 8.5 540 motor and it seems to work fine! I have a 6.5 HV 550 motor in the wings if the current set-up doesnt pan out! So your GTB should be fine!

Where'd you get the blue springs? What are they?

FWIW, I ran one of the new Castle Sidewinder SCT 3800 combos in mine today on 2S, 14T pinion. No heat issues at all, even without the included motor fan. I want to run it long / hard some more and temp it to be sure, but it appears light enough that this motor will be OK (unlike all the Castle 540 cans I have burned on my SCRT).

The blue springs are from the 10SC. I cut one coil off the fronts to get proper preload & ride height...

Scored a great deal on a used one yesterday and I'm in the process of getting her ready. Would an 111oz servo be good enough for the TT. Or do I need something stronger

With a 5.5 in it it should be insane!

Wish they (Ofna) would have some yellow wheels for this truck!

+2

I'm almost thinking about trying to find some florescent die because I can't stand driving with white wheels.

Nice, glad to hear somebody took the plunge to find another solution. I would of done it myself but my truck hasn't come yet!
