For my track I am running

Front
2 hole piston
1* toe out
1.5* camber
30wt ae oil

Rear
3 hole piston
stock toe in
2* camber
35wt

I have 35wt rear due to having a 550 motor and the esc sitting back there. With the oils reversed the chassis was slapping on the rear to much and I had massive on power push for steering. Once I switched it was a whole new car.

Is it worth it to put a 550 in there? I was thinking that a 540 4pole would be better and also lighter (not that it matters for this car, though )

I am not to sure. The last 4 pole 4600 castle motor I had weighed about the same to me. My 550 4.5 ballistic feels smoother but then again it's sensored. My 550 pulls hard out of corners and gives me really good speed for the track. If it was a longer straight I would gear up. I also like the 550 because it runs cooler then the 540 motors

The 4 poles are better. My 550 set ups would work better for me with 4cell lipos...just run a 4 pole 540...should be pretty good comparison.

I run 2s on my TT with the 550 and I can pull away from most 4 poles. Then again I only ran a 540 4 pole in a slash lol

Nice I have a novak havoc pro sc esc with the 550 and was wondering how the pro4 motors are from tekin. I like tekin motors but I got a nice deal on this setup so I went with it and does really good

Pro4's are AWESOME. I run a 4600 Pro 4 and was truely impressed that it runs really well in a 1/8 scale. Especially a monter truck of all things. No overheating...but it does have more power then the stock Orion 550 set up on 4cells. And I run the pro 4 with only 2 cell lipo's.

Again...Im to lazy to pull that out to test in the hyper. I compete with the mad force so I don't want to mess up with the set up..lol!!!

I'm all about cooler temps.

I'll be running 2s, so I'm thinking a high-turn 550 will have more effective torque. Someone's got a Novak Velociti 5.5T (Sensored at 7400kV) and an Xelorin 4.5T (Sensored at 7140kV), both the same price and within my price range. Which would be better for the Hyper 10TT?

I run a ballistic 4.5t 550 in mine. With a 6600mah 65-130c battery I can last almost 20min on a charge. I would make sure you have a good C rating battery so it all runs cooler

So here is my hyper 10tt...

I just got her as a roller and ordered some stuff after reading a lot.....A LOT of this thread..lol!!!

So I got:

Castle 5700KV (not 4 pole)
HW 120A ESC
Turnigy 5000 50C 2 cell lipo
A set of Proline Hammers 2.2 on traxxas rims (left over from my 4x4 slash)
Ordered a set of Trenchers on Desperado black rims 2.8
JConcepts Punisher body for a T4 (Still gotta paint)
Savox SC0252 MG steering servo

I took her out in the back yard and she just kicked butt out there. Tires handled very...very well and then I hit the pavement. I am VERY IMPRESSED with this truggy and plan on taking her to the track for a bit of bashing. If you can...I would pick up one of these bad boys..it's fun as heck..lol!!!

I plan on going up against my friend who converted his 4x4 stampede truggy..so it should be fun..

Here she is so far..

I plan to paint the body soon and get her out to my next race (2 weeks).

Cool Call Me Crazy...

Call me crazy. Trying to build one of these for under $200.

If you care, here's the rundown (Green bold is stuff I have):

$100 for Hyper 10TT roller, seems to be the going price
$25 for Airtronics Servo 94360
$25 for Battery
$34-45 for 4-Pole Tenshock
Traded Mamba Micro Pro system for Mamba Max Pro ESC

If I need to, I'll sell the MMP and buy a BH ESC to keep the price down.

I bought a roller for a little over 100.00, then spent about another 100.00 to get her on the track. What helped was the HK 120A ESC and i already had a 5700KV mamba already so all i needed was a servo and used my tires off my 4x4 slash. I plan on painting the JConcepts body and get her on the track again...

post some pics when you get the stuff you need..

I've got my eye on SMC's batteries. Heard great things about them, especially looking at the 5600 70C one. Not bad for 35 bucks. I'm gonna have to do a new shrink wrap on the ESC motor leads. It doesn't cover the whole bullet.
