finally broke something, the bad steering was due to some worn out bearings. last nite, i just went out to have some fun, first broke a rear hinge holder. so i went back in and ended up replacing the arm, while i was at it. took it back out, and while i was going a good 30mph, it pulled into the curb, kartwheeled a good 20 feet across the street, and nothing broke. ran it a few more times and hit the curb a few more times while i was trying to find a good adjustment. then it hit the curb badly and ended up breaking the servo saver arm. i say it took a good beating and luckily no major damage done to it.

Ok, what are my choices as far as wheels go? Will any 2.2 wheel work? Do I need to be concerned with offset?

Anybody have any cheap wheel/tire suggestions? Mostly dirt, some grass maybe even a little cement.

this thread is so slow.

anyways, i run proline caliber on mine, just some hpi rims. but pretty much any rim will fit in ok. no issues here. i ran a few different wheels and all seem to work fine.

I've read nearly all of this thread but can't remember what size batteries were the most common. I'm thinking I wanna try 3s but then I read somewhere about it being bad for the center differential.

Anybody here run 3s?

Anybody still read this thread?

it depends on how rough you are with it,
my truck will do standing backflips on 3s if i pull the trigger hard.
i do it once in a while.
most of the time when i run 3s i go slow and then i hit it hard. less stress on parts.

now if you are rough on it and hit it full throttle all the time you will wear out stuff rather quick.

2s is perfect, 3s is if you wanna go really fast and if you want flip more times in the air.

I ran 3s on the SCT 3800 system. Then i swapped to the MMP ESC. Still ran 3s. It does make the drive line wear faster but the power was worth it.

BTW i am in GR also.. do you bash in this area or just race?

I've only been bashing, mostly at my brother-in-laws house, but I've been thinking about going to a real track somewhere. You know of any good ones? I think there is one in Grandville I might check out.

The only track in this area that i know if is Battle Front in Grandville, Off 28th and i think Sanford.
I'm hoping Twisted RC opens one up on the north end next year..

Have you bben to battlefront? How is it?

I'm really hoping Twisted opens one up too, I was in there the other day and they let me try out a Rustler on the small track they were working on in the back.

when i went i ran my TT on the outside track with SC. i think the SC did a little better from size but i had a ton of fun. They also have an inside track that i have ran 2wd on.
