smack a yak....looks good. Is the battery a hard case or soft pack?? If it is a soft pack....I would recommend that you modify the battery tray so you can lay the pack flat.

Cause on some hard landings you can smash/deform the pack and render it useless. I did this on a couple of packs in my Hyper Mini STE.

Wow, I have heard nothing but good about this truggy on this thread. I am seriously considering buying one. How would this compare to say a Hyper 10SC with a Novak 4.5t and a 11t pinion? I actually loved the OFNA stuff, while most people tended to move away from their cars. It's too bad no one runs the 10SC anymore

Do you recommend the 550 or 540 size motor fora a heavy bashing and racing enthusiast? And as far esc's go, should I use and 8th scale esc or a standard 2wd SCT ESC?

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...le-1410-3800kV

Would this be a good combo? Not looking to spend an insane amount on my car. Or would you recommend this one:

Was not sure on what would be best...I was thinking the lower kv on the mamba max would suck. Thanks for the help!

I tried both of those combos in a couple of my hyper tt's and didn't care for either. My personal favorite so far has been the MMP, Tekin SC4X 4.5, 14 tooth pinion, 2s LiPo. It was a great basher and real fast on the track. Just my .02. In my next one I am going to try a Tekin RS Pro with the new 4 pole Tekin motor. Not sure what kV yet.

The 1410 3800 is a good enough motor but don't waste your money on the sidewinder esc. Get the MMP or something else. The Sidewinder will not last, I've sent 3 back for repairs multiple times.

Currently running a Ballistic 4.5T with a HW 80A sensored ESC, and it is very smooth.

You are right on the SV2. I hated that so much I sold it after less than a minute of driving. No wonder it's so cost effective. I think I will try to run castle stuff at this point. Or Novak. Nitro House had some deal on a GTB2 (A surprisingly good ESC for my 4WD) and a 6.5t ballistic 540 size motor. Would that 6.5t do any good in the TT? I feel like it would get hot pretty quick. Probably can't do too much on a 3s either.

I love my mmp and I got the 4600kv 4pole motor with a 13t pinion on a 2cell and its perfect never even gets hot and nothing but torque I think its a bit under geared.

I have a mmp and 3800 CC in mine. A ton of torque with 2s. I am running the 13t pinion. Thinking of moving up to a 15t. I drive my TT more than my slash, now.

You can get a Tenshock SC401 and a Ezrun SC8 for around $150, a much better stystem than any castle set up imo
