Do the proline SC shocks mount up well? I imagine you would use the fronts:

with these:

Took my TT along with me on my mountain bike ride today. Went to the BMX jumps and had a ball. This truck is so darn tough! Didn't break anything (that I know of) but the chassis slapped almost every time. What do you expect when you are 20 feet in the air?

Thanks! Using the Castle Creations Short Course brushless system with a Hyperion 2S 5000mah 45C battery.

I especially like the video where I caught the truck in the air

I'm running a 14/41 combo. My ESC is getting a little toasty for my taste so I may go to a 13 tooth pinion.

I am running the full Sidewinder SCT system. It's got quite the grunt.

Can anyone guide me towards a god setup on the shocks, witch springs and what oil wt.

Trackconditions are smooth clay with some good jumps, not too big...

Thanks

What's toasty? I ran the SCT motor fan on my esc and geared it to 15/42.

Response from the Mamba Max ESC (with 4600Kv motor) is very bad. I don't run throttle punch, no exponential curve, etc. All stock. Still the throttle response sucks. Like it has turbo lag; at first nothing happens and then it blasts off uncontrollably...

Now changing to a new Sidewinder SCT 3800kv combo I also run (and love) in my SC10. If that doesn't work will switch to RX8 + pro4

Love this little truck! A lot of fun to drive! Just the ESC...
use the MM with the 3800. I found the MMP to be TONS smoother than the SW with the 3800. Temps are great but i think i may go down to a 14T so i have more snap for the track we run at.. I may just go 3s since i am speed hungry...

It's too hot to keep my fingers on the ESC fins for more than 2 seconds when it's at operating temperature. I don't know if this ESC just runs hotter than most. It's not affecting the performance in any way.

I can't help with the Proline shocks but i can with the esc. for shocks i just picked up the Ofna SC10 shocks and plan to use the white springs in the front and stock with the orange in the rear. I do want to use a 3 or 4 hole piston in the front. I just do not get the rebound out of the front....

The ESC is too hot if you can not touch it for more than 2 seconds. It may work fine now, but it will burn up faster with that kind of heat. I would put the motor fan on the esc or gear down.
For the fan, some just use double sided tape on the lower inside edges and stick it on. I did that plus zipties on the outer part you would use if you put the fan on the motor. It kept my esc temps down to 100 on average.

I'm at 14/41, should I gear down to 13/41? Or even 13/42?
