I did but how much do you think the strength is compromised when you do that.

Just got my Hyperion 5000mah 45c 7.4v pack today and the truck seems to be doing much better. But one problem, the battery does not fit in the stock battery box. It is too long. Has anybody removed the battery box and just strapped the battery directly to the chassis? Or should I modify the battery box somehow?

I've done that countless times when I had my hyper 12. You'll never get it perfectly straight again but it'll still work same as ever. I've never broken a bone. They just bend, and you bend them back. lol

Are there any bigger shocks that can be used with the TT? I was thinking of using some Slash shocks. I just want something with a bigger bore. The stock shocks don't quite cut it for me, bottoming out a lot.

Good question. I've been wondering the same thing. Mine bottoms out when dropped from 12 inches. But I don't really want to use thicker oil because it upsets everything else.

How much of a difference is it with the steering bearings instead of the bushings?

Thanks
