Default Feeler

Would anyone be interested in buying my 10TT as a RTR?

It has been recently rebuilt from the ground up.
Diffs have 5/5/2
Shocks 25wt
Alum top plate
Alum hexes
Alum center diff mount

Will come with the following electronics:
Hitec HS-965MG
Airtronics MX-3x
Novac Havoc/4.5T #3114

Has not been run since the rebuild. I don't really have the time for it anymore. This would be a cash sale - no trades.

If interested, send me a message with an offer.

Oh my my I'm back been a while happy 4th July

Well I'm looking to get back into rc and I like truggy I'm looking to get one and I have a few questions

1.what parts will I need to upgrade as in weak spots?

2. What motor esc combos/gearing are good?

3.what wing is that on the pic? I don't like the stock wing looks better with that on..love the paint job btw.

4. What servos are great for this size?

5. What other bodies will work with this tt? With a little bit of modify

I guess that's it for now..I'm in a mid budget on this..

Thanks

I will be racing indoors whit this only no bashing

Question #1 (Mister G posted previously)
Here is a start - these are the most commonly broken parts i see during racing.

** Front knuckles
** Rear hubs - don't waste time with plastic get alloy ones.
** steering top plate - don't waste time with plastic get an alloy one.
** Front arms.
** Front hinge pins and bushes
** Front hinge pin holders (front and back)

Question #2 - The Castle MMPro and 3800 kv 1406 Motor (4 pole) - Check E-Bay price are way better than any where else.
Question #3 - Don't know, once again, if you are on a budget, keep what you've got for now.
Question #4 - I'm using a Futaba BLS451 - other options out there I'm sure.
Question #5 - If you are on a budget, than stick with the lid you have.

Good Luck!!

Given I've been quoted on the spares needed, ill answer a few other questions
2. What motor esc combos/gearing are good?
As suggested The Castle MMPro and 3800 kv 1406 Motor (4 pole). Run it on a 16 pinion and it will be quick and run very cool - highly recommended!!
3.what wing is that on the pic? I don't like the stock wing looks better with that on..love the paint job btw.
Ofna Hi-Down Force Wing part# 40906 to 40909 (4 colors) http://www.ofna.com/body-wings.php
4. What servos are great for this size?
I have been using one of theese - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8771
Its been going strong since a week after the TTs were released. It has seen 2 seasons of racing and at least 1 hour of practice a week. Value for less than $20
5. What other bodies will work with this tt? With a little bit of modify
Associated t4 shells from proline and J Concepts, fit well if cut correctly - search this thread...

Cheers Matt

The T4 Body fits nicely in this truck(mine is JConcepts Hi-Flow).I also suggest a Novak 4.5T 550 motor if you can spend a little extra money. The SCT motor is 4 pole , but Novak is way bigger than the SCT.I like my so far Novak and I wouldn't change it(it stays almost always cool and has enough torque)(you also need a very good ESC for this motor)(MMpro has glitching issues without external BEC...)

With our TT class rules we must use a 5.5 hobbywing unsensoered motor and any hobbywing esc.
All racers use a 120 amp speed controller as we have had too many 60 amp thermal and cutout (our track is high grip carpet).
11-13 tooth pinions depending on motor temps.

Here is a youtube clip of some of our recent racing to give you an idea of speed, An average lap here is 20 - 21 seconds.
the last guy in the clip RJ is the one we chase each week - LOL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB5qT-R-dfE

If you are not racing I'd possibly recommend and 8.5 turn (4000kv) motor as it gives a lot more flexibility in gearing.
Your call as to sensored or not (I prefer sensored) is up to you.

As for speed controller,
A XERUN-120A Sensored http://www.hobbywing.com/english/Art...?ArticleID=447 (this can be used unsensored too) or
EZRUN-SC8 Unsensored ESC http://www.hobbywing.com/english/Art...?ArticleID=471

Fire away if you have further q's

Matt

Castle Creations 1/10 Sidewinder SC System + 3800 kV ROAR CSE010-0090-00
http://www.rcplanet.com/ProductDetai...090-00&click=2

I would recommend you switch out the ESC for a Castle MMPro. Alot of guys that I race with are using that combo with great success. Just make sure the motor is the 4 Pole Motor.

Nice!!! What shocks are you running?? Springs? What shock oil weights are your running. I've been having trouble with my suspension....too bouncy...then too flat. I can't seem to find the happy medium.

Our class mandates stock shocks with open springs and oils. I'm currently running 30 front with blue cut 10sc springs and rear 25 with stock orange.
I run foam tyres so they contribute very little to soaking up bumps.

A 16 should give a good mix of accletation and speed.
