Yeah I have HB pinions, but I'm currently using a 3mm mod 1 pinion for my 540 motor.

Ok gonna grab one of these when they get in stock. I'm diggin the 1/8 Truggy style in a 1/10 package. Here is the question I have.

Put the VXL system in it.... or put the MMM/2650. That would mean the Slash 4x4 gets one or the other. I'd assume the VXL would be a pretty decent motor for the truck. Not certain though.

What are your Vegas 208 settings for the 6.5? I haven't tried timing advance yet for this truggy.

Yea that mesh is pretty iffy, works but it would bug me. Are you using the Ofna 3mm Mod 1's?

I'm using the OFNA 3mm mod1 12t pinion. I can't push the pinion any further in. I don't know if using a sleeve reducer plus an HB 12t pinion will do the trick.

That was going to be my suggestion... Let me know if that works.

I've been out of the hobby for about 8 years and I'm looking to get back in. I was originally looking at a AE T4.1 Brushless to get me going again, but after seeing this, I'm intrigued. I always liked the idea of a 4x4 1/10th truck, and never understood why there weren't more made. I know this is based on a buggy chassis and isn't a true "truck," but how does this handle compared to a truck? Are parts pretty readily available? How durable has it been? How is it holding up to a mild to moderate brushless setup? I've read a lot of this thread, but not all of it, so I'm sorry if some if these questions have already been asked. Thanks!!!

Not really interested in racing this. I'm currently living in Japan, and the racing scene here is about 99.8% road or mini road. This would be for running around the yard and playing on a little track with some friends, but nothing sanctioned or serious. The other option I have for a 4x4 truggy is an LRP S10 Blast TX for the same price. I can get this at a local shop, but I cant' seem to find anything about it on the web.

there are a few guys at the new indoor track who bought the blasts as 1/10 cars due to them being cheap, they are only wrenching angrily, u cant turn once without breaking something or accelerate without the speedo burning up. All will or already have bought another car. whatever u get, dont get a blast, waste of money.
