I have the stock spur with a 13T pinion now, running cool, but a little harsh on the bottom end....I am going to try a 14T on my next practice session.

I also need to get my Castle Link running and try to tone it down a little on the bottom end...Anyone have recommendation on their SCT settings?
i have heard of many people messing with torque control and punch control, but in the end, the best way to do it is to manually adjust the throttle curve.

I've never had this issue before and have built them numerous times.

I had to walk away from the bench!

Stock tires are actually pretty good, the foams are the crap part....swap out the foams and rock em for a while.

I have had good luck with J Concepts Bar Codes green on indoor clay, fairly high bite depending on time of day. Most of the racers at the local track are running the Double Dees in green and the comments are that they are much more forgiving if the traction lets up a bit when the track dries out.

honestly, the castle is a 4 pole motor so its torquier, which is good for a 5+ pound truggy. A lot of people using it too with good results, myself included.

Stock tires are very good on a carpet surface.
Good grip and wear well until the foams turn to slush.

As others have said change the foams.

Cheers

Well..

I got my TT yesterday.. Spend an hour or two getting it running.. Decided to take it into the front yard and take it up and down the block a few times..

So i decided to come down the street full speed, up my drive way, onto the lawn, (this is tall fluffy lawn, not golf course lawn).
Well when it hit the edge of the lawn it flipped up into the air and landed on its lid. (Mind you i didn't have the body or the wing on)

so i turned the truck over, and the shock tower was bent to hell, the rear chassis brace broken, and my rear center drive shaft was bent. Pretty sweet first outing.

I went to the track the the day with the TT......I was nervous since everyone says how fragile they are......going down the back straight clipped the pipe and WHAM into a railroad tie!

BUT.....the TT took it like a champ......off I go again after a few laps I decided to get brave and try to triple the jumps.......cased the top of the thrid and flipped high into the air, end over end, over end over end down the track it goes for about 20 feet

Walked over and flipped it back on his wheels and off he went

So far the little guy took 2 pretty rough hits......100% stock 10TT just boiled all the arms, carrier and knuckles.

I dont think this little guy is the toughest out there by any means....but I dont think they are made of glass like a few guys make them out to be either.
