I don't think anyone is having a problem with these things jumping nose up.

I do another pass and it'll reset the neutral steering position to something else. It makes it impossible to drive on a track. I am using a Spektrum DX2.0 transmitter and an sr3000 receiver. I have a capacitor in the "aux" slot (this is supposed to help maintain voltage to the receiver) but that doesn't help. I'm using the Castle Sidewinder SCT 3800kv motor system.

Also, my motor temps are around 100F and my ESC is around 120F. Is this normal? I was using a 42/12, gonna try a 42/14 next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

its the sidewinder and the sr3000 disagreeing... I had the same problem had to add a BEC to fix the problem...

Mine jumps nose up...

Also I see everybody saying run low kv and big gears, I done the opposite. I have a 3.5t 550 on 3s with 11t pinion when it catches traction if the wing would not touch on the way around it would do back flips like a flux. On 2s it's prefect for the track super snapy power and enouff top speed to air it out when necessary. Brought it to the dunes the other day with a full set of paddles was super fun on 2s on 3 any how you would ease into it to half throttle if you bliped it open it was on it's back

Got my truck steering problems sorted out. This thing is such a bundle of fun! Running 14/42 right now with the Sidewinder SCT system and a 2S 20C battery. Thinking about upping the pinion one more tooth to get a little more top speed out of it. That should help lower my ESC temps right?

Stock tires seem to work good for me as well. Not sure how they'll hold up at my track at home which tends to be dusty.

to those running the strc spur gear, did your truck already come with the stock plastic spur? And was it a noise improvement over that? Thanks

I have a set of proline badlands I run on my TT on loose dirt and it jumps nose up A LOT. I didnt realize how much the larger diameter would affect it and if I release the throttle to fast mid jump it immediately dives. Not so graceful by any means!

Yes mine came with blue plastic spur. I then added the strc spur and it is just as loud. the noise is from front and rear diff;s and every TT is louder/quieter then the next. my buddies is as quiet as my b4 2wd buggy but my TT sounds like a tank.

castle recommends at the minimum use a battery with at least 25C constant. Honestly I ran the SCT system with a 20C battery and t it ran fine until I went with a 16T, frying the ESC. Could have just been a fluke incident though and had nothing to do with C rating...

Wouldn't a higher C rating make the ESC run hotter? Or do low C ratings make the ESC work harder to pull current from the battery?

Maybe it's that with a higher C rating, the ESC has more power on tap from the battery and doesn't have to 'pull' as hard on the battery.

For C rating

Picture a straw

20C is like a coffe straw/stirrer

50C is like a mcdonalds staw. (ever notice how large dia they are)

One takes more effort to drink then the other.
