Had my epa turned down from 120 to 60 and the 4.5 was still to much for the track. I would say the 540 can 8.5 rs pro is plenty for indoor racing.

I think I want something comparable to a 4.5T, so which KV rating would be similar to this?
I've run my CC 4600kv 1406 motor with the mmpro esc for two visits to two different tracks now and totally dig it. It's very fast and surprisingly smooth. 4 pole motors are awesome.

which pinion are you running?

I've been running mine at the track the last 2 chances and its a blast!
I just have an old losi xcelorin speedo and novak HV 6.5 in it and its crazy fast with a 16t pinion, and it comes off at 85*... Unfortunately 16 is the biggest pinion I have

Will be getting a 17 and 18 soon! Now if I could just calm down the steering and I'd be golden!

These are awesome little truggies!

I changed from 26T to 20T because of the cogging on 3s...(bad esc - or badly overgeared motor....) (novak 4.5T 550 with sensored esc)

My RS PRO and 8.5 with the stock pinion (13) was very nice to drive. I have the boost @ 30. I could easily go upon boost and add turbo "IF" I needed more power.

I have 3-7-1 in the diff's. 35F 30 R in the shocks. I stood the rear shocks up by going out on the rear tower and in on the rear arm. No steering mods and had all the steering I could ever want with the stock orange springs. I tried the blue springs on the front and it was twitchy on the steering ( probably good for a real tight small track). Looking forward to running it more soon. I also moved the rear lower shock to the middle hole on the arm and let my friend drive that and it looked good with great slow steering and a very driveable push on the higher speed corners.

Greatly appreciate all the input guys! I guess Ill stick with the SCT combo and gear up to maybe a 16T. One more question I swear, is it totally ridiculous to run a 1-5-1 diff set up? (I really liked the stock set up with the silicone grease, so I wanted a similar balanced set up)

You can use whatever you want, depending on the track you are running and your driving style. You can also use lithium grease(I was using it in the beginning and then I changed to silicone oils) as the 1000wt oil.

The Associated T4.1 shocks bolt right on. Just make sure you get the upper shock mounts too since the Ofna ones snap on.

By upper shock mounts are you referring to bushings?
