No stud just good JK. But you guys might want to look at the ends, there's a small circle on one side and that side needs to pop in first that is the tighter end if it's not in that way then I would get new ones and pop it in the right way and go from there. Once I figured that put it's been all good.

Sorry if this has been asked before...with 113 pages, I don't have enuff time to scroll thru.

What's up with the spur and pinion being soooo loud? Any tips to make the truck quieter? I would have thought something was wrong, but everyone with this truck at my local track has the same nosiy setup.

Honestly, I don't think what you're hearing is the Spur/Pinion mesh. I think it is the diff pinion to crown gear mesh. Ever since adding the Kyosho 12x15mm shims ( I added one shim on the outdrive opposite the crown on both F and R diff ), my truck alltogether is much smoother and more quiet.

What the F kinda track is that? A 26T pinion with a 4.5, that is friggen hilarious. Go to one of those tracks that has brown dirty stuff with bumps.

On a side note you did make 2 nice turns in the 1:45 video. :thumbs up:

Are you referring to the akerman bar? If so I was told it now ships with it when I ordered mine...

Does this thing really need more steering? I'll be racing it at a fairly tight very high grip clay (indoor) track.

IMHO it has plenty of steering!

Its got some steering, but our local indoor track guys put a bunch of tight turns in our track on any layout they make, and the vehicles that go through those sections the fastest are tough to catch. I did my own steering mod, even though they come with the 54mm bar now. As I have stated, the wider bar will hit the posts on the steering rack before you run out of travel, so it needs a bend in it to fix the geometry and all is good. Mine steers in big time!
