Jammin made the CRT .5
OFNA made this I thought OFNA and Jammin were the same company. I guess not huh. |
I finally got it dialed with external bec (mmpro) and this car is a blast! turns like an ace and flies nice, already finding several fans at my track.

What class does this fall into? my local track let me race my hyper 10SC in the nitro class and I cleaned house with it. I got an SC8 and I feel like its big heavy poor handling pig with no bottom end power. I like how electric is all the power you want from the bottom. nitros fall on their face abd then come to life after you have needed the power then its too eratic. Maybe its just me but I like lighter cars with all their speed and power from 0-30, not 15-45.

you should give me the sc8, i can use one.:D

I used to outrun fully loaded nitro RC8's with my B44.
People would say, Associated just got beat by another Associated. lol (This was when the car first came out thou, RC8b's are alot better) I should be right at home with this "Hyper" truggy since Ive been driving 4wd 1/10 buggies so long. When is the release date on this? Tower doesnt stock this yet. |

There are 6 guys that have these at the local track. I drove one last week, they are a blast.
One of these set the track record for fast lap the first week it was raced. He was running a MMP with a 5700 on 2 cells with stock tires. As soon as I sell somthing I will pick one up. |

With lots of system choices for these little truggies, here is one option. Tekin RX8, 4.5 550 Novak ballistic motor, 14T pinion, 2 cell lipo. No speed advantage over the guys with 540 motors, maybe more torque though. Absolutely no heat issues with this set-up.

Well I have ONE of two choices here.
I have a GTB 6.5 lite brushless system or My TEKIN R1 PRO 362 COMBO. One of these is going in, but I'm thinking the Tekin. Both are 540 systems. But the 362 HAS AN UNGOLDLY amount of RPMS While the GTB system has more torque. I can try one and if I dont like it I can switch to the other one. |
Can anyone who has driven this tell me if it drives more like a truggy or a stadium truck. I never could like stadium trucks but SC trucks work better for me.

I agree...my TT drives like a B44 but with better suspension and absorbs the bumps better.
I am running a Tekin RS pro and a 6.5 redline motor with a 13mm rotor. |
ok guys just got one of these like 30 min ago. my question is i have a lrp sxx comp v1 that i would like to use and im going to eather trade my 13.5 novak in for a 6.5 but not sure. i hear at the track that most are using the hv motors for the sc trucks but what would be better for me to use with my sxx or should i sell it and the 13.5 and go with a mamba?
i would like to use my sxx since i already have it so if the hv motor would work on it then it would be figureing out what motor to get. sorry for the noob question about these. i have read the pages and see some are using the 540 or the 550 motors. |
I use a 4600 mamba in my 10sc, it gets a little warm, but I think it will be perfect for this truck, I personally think 550 is a bit overkill for this little truck, you really don't need that much torque.
